At Air-Tech 2016, Gardner Denver is exhibiting its new CompAir L140 rotary screw compressor for the first time in the UK, together with a new range of energy efficient 160 kW to 250 kW oil-injected screw air compressors.
Visitors to stand number AF120 can also view the new Hydrovane ‘Air Solution’ integrated compressed air system plus models from the company’s full vacuum and pressure range. This includes Elmo Rietschle claw, vane and screw vacuum technology and Robuschi and PD blowers.
New L140
The L140 builds on the success of the proven CompAir oil-lubricated compressor range and has been designed to provide a quick return on investment by improving energy efficiency levels.
Technological advancements include a high-efficiency, quiet running radial fan on the air-cooled version, which cools the air aftercooler and oil cooler, and is capable of operating in ambient temperatures of up to 45oC as standard.
This air can also be recovered and used for space heating, effectively recovering up to 97 per cent of the input energy.
A further feature to help improve cost of ownership is an optional factory-fitted, oil-to-water heat exchanger, which can also be retrofitted in existing installations. This can heat water to temperatures of over 70oC, meaning operators can recover and reuse as much as 80 per cent of the input energy to help meet site heat demands.
The fixed-speed compressor is powered by a 132 kW, IE3 efficiency motor as standard, or with an optional IE4 motor, and is capable of delivering a reliable compressed air supply at both 7.5 and 10 bar. Available in air-cooled and water-cooled versions, all models in the range benefit from a larger air end with a slow rotor speed and low noise levels.
